I don't get what you and DeletedUser are always harping on about the public subsidising the rich Tesla owners. It's not as if the government is using our tax revenue for important projects. The FRT waiver and the lack of gas taxes is just money that doesn't get added to the pile of money the government is sitting on. It's in no way being taken away from anyone, especially not the poor.

Right, you can check that, the TD is publishing the monthly data. I posted it a while ago but too lazy to find it again. In a good month they sell 10 now. In a bad one zero.

The CFO is going to find that getting very old, very quickly...

Bye Bye Tesla Cars Hong Kong.

Also, for Australians who happen to own a Tesla S or X, and were considering shipping their car to Australia, thinking they were smart, ( due to being substantially cheaper in HK to purchase than it was in Aus ) Tesla will not service, maintain or supply parts for your HK purchased car in Australia.

If Tesla pulls the pin in HK, watch the resale value of used cars drop like, panties on prom night, especially if you cant get your HK Tesla supported in other authorised Right Hand Drive countries.

But that's ok, only low to no tax paying rich people in HK are going to get burnt , 5000+ of them, very soon.

EVs make up only 1.31% of the private car fleet in Hong Kong, still a long way to go regardless of the brand.

Their earnings + Model 3 numbers and stock price should be entertaining on Wednesday.
