Motorcycle Riding Test - What Should I Do/Not Do

So I have to give my on road motorcycle test next week. I've had the lessons, but for the on road test lesson, the instructor guy spoke very little English. The local guy with me got a lot of instructions in Cantonese, I got very few .. =/
Anyone care to tell me what things I should make sure I do (in addition to riding correctly)? e.g. should I look left and right 3 times before starting to move each time?

Just look left and right before starting each time, you have to do it 3 times. Don't put your right foot down at any time during the test. Don't put your foot down during the figure 8.

I hope you have been practicing

I hope your balance is good as I fecked up my figure of 8 test on the road in a narrow hilly part in To Kwa Wan, lack of on road practice for that part, everything else I breezed through.

You have to do the figure of 8, 3 times without feet touching the floor, this test is the one that catches most people out.

when going through traffic lights, if for some reason the Test examiner behind you stops at a red light after you have been through it, keep driving until you can find a safe spot to stop and wait and again only have your left leg on the ground and keep it in 1st gear.

Thanks for the replies. I"m fairly confident of the riding part. I need to practice figure 8s on a hill though, the weather hasn't been very cooperative lately. I think I'll have to hang figure-8 laps for a few hours on Sunday.

Sorry, I made a typing error in the first sentence. It should read "you DON'T have to do it 3 times".

A noob question here as I don't ride a motorcycle, but what's wrong with putting your right foot down?

I'd guess it is because you use the rear brake with your right foot. If your right foot is on the ground, you can't brake in a hurry if you need to.

I still don't get it though... you'd put the foot down if you're already stopped, in which case why does someone need to reach the rear brake?

Or is this just one of those 'test situation only' rules that can be ignored any other time?
