    Question Local Car Meets?

    Hi everyone,

I have been living in Hong Kong for an internship for about a month now, and I have about a month left. Originally from California.

I am a huge car and motorcycle enthusiast and I want to check out the car scene here in HK, but I have been unsuccessful trying to search online on my own. I am looking for local meets where people hang out and chat or potentially car shows if there are any.

    Stuff like this: https://youtu.be/8eKvpDfeIS4

Though not necessarily to that scale. Not interested in street racing or anything of that sort.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!

very rare of these kinds of meet ups in HK.

You could try Clear Water Bay Beach main car park at night times, lots of bikers and some cars that illegally race to there and they meet up but its mostly locals and not much English lingo.

For bikes, show up on Sunday morning on a non-rainy day at Route Twisk (Tai Mo Shan) Pagoda

There are a fair few "rich people networking" type car clubs - Porsche Club, Classic Car Owners Club, MG Owners Club... Use googles to find them.

Or pop over to Luk Keng early on Sunday mornings to view the Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche pissing contest.

If you go to Harbour City carpark at the right times on a Friday or Saturday, you might find a meetup like the one in the video you've posted, but these meetups are mostly locals so good luck.

Other car meetups are likely to be street racers.

There's group of cars that race Tai Po Road seemingly every night at 1 or 2 in the morning (closest road HK has to Mount Akina in Initial D) and you can hear their mufflers from miles away. Used to think it was a bunch of exotics but apparently they're all JDM .
