Wish all those owners seeking status symbol were forced to pay for the disposal of their vehicles, including paying the price of recycling the metal... But then again, almost every aspect of our culture, from clothes to food, to furniture, to house fittings, is all disposable, and very few, including the businesses feeding off this awful culture, are held responsible. We know very well our earth can't take it much longer.

Cars are just the tip of the iceberg for waste in this city.

Going to be more 3 year old cars in the scrap yards with the $250k discount on electric vehicles if you scrap your old car

    edit: typo

The car has to be 6+ years old and with the last owner for min 3 years.

Its the local culture to have the newest and sparkliest!

I remember when I was at high school and me and my friends all had old bangers at least 10-15 years old. Our insurance was often 3 or 4 times the cost of the car itself!

In HK, I don't think I ever seen a car more than 10 years old on the street except a few classic cars.
