I’ve been quoted by Maserati direct as below:-

An absurd amount totalling HKD$93,800 which I do not intend to pay just to fix an air con. I’ve emailed the head office in Italy, they mentioned they will investigate further.

Meanwhile, I need to get it fixed asap. Can anyone provide contact of a workshop that can do the job at a fraction of a price for (Maserati Quattroporte GTS 2014)?

    Thanks.

    Hi Roy,

Technician found out leakage from this item
    1. Replace front and rear evaporator with TXV kit $86,000.00
    2. Top up A/C refrigerant and lubricant $7800

They speak English and are reasonably priced. You can also source cheap replacement parts online and have the mechanic install them for labor only.

Do you have access to a Cantonese speaker? I use a local guy in Tokwawan 世民 +852 9132 0118 for my 08 Quatrroporte.

I'm not sure if he speaks English since I typically converse with him in canto.

    Cheers All!

Going through all your suggestions, I’m still open to more direct avenues for repair with a quick turnaround time, while the car is left at Maserati centre in shatin...so makes sense to be near there.

car manufacturers don't manufacture refrigerant gas, AC compressors, expansion valves, or condenser coils, they order from specialists such as AC Delco, Denso, etc. I guess Maserati did the same.

Say its an AC Delco compressor, find the model/part number, then any competent AC shop can order from AC Delco and fit replacement.

That’s the issue there’s no physical stock in HK,
waiting time is up to 3 weeks for it to arrive.

    Thanks anyway.

These are the parts/things that need doing:

    (Maserati Quattroporte GTS, 2014 reg.)
    Replace front evaporator
    Replace rear evaporator
    Replace TXV Kit
    Replace A/C dehydrator filter
Top up A/C refrigerant and lubricant

If anyone has stock of the items above in HK and can do the job in 2-3 days please let me know.

usually it is the front evaporator problem

local thieverships do not hold spares so use courier also
