Accident with Police vehicle in Hong Kong

    Hey Everyone,

Last week Sunday police vehicle passed at red light and slightly crashed my car and my cam recorded accident scene. And as officers say this is %100 their fault. So after alcohol test they gave me case number and said call EMSD and book a date for investigation. This week i called them but they said not releated with us.

So it seems i am in trouble. I really wonder is there anyone who had accident with police vehicles before ?

I need to know what must i carefully do.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

1st thing you do is call your CAR INSURANCE company and tell them what happened and they will give you instructions on what to do etc etc

and whoever told you to call EMSD is bonkers. lol

Also go to hospital and get your neck checked for possible pain and whiplash. I'd milk this one if I was you. Screw the HK police.

Make sure you make a backup of the recording in the cloud and save it a couple spots. Take photos of damages too. Make a written report so you remember. You can go to police station to make a complaint.

Did they alcohol test the driver of the police vehicle?

You have a case number, did you receive copy of report?
Does report says its their problem?

If you wanna claim, you should inform the insurance along with the police report..

EMSD is in charge for handling vehicles for all of HK Gov.
Inspection of the vehicles involving accident wrt police vehicles is undertaken by EMSD, and maybe the reason they asked you call EMSD.

Selam Shafiq, Thanks a lot for your useful info. I have case number but they did not give me any report which says their accident is their problem. Insurance company did nothing actually. I just received from police alcohol test result. So i gave my car to mechanic and expertise will check it and they said it will take around 1 year for payment from police.

    1. Your own insurance company gave you no helpful advise on how to proceed with what happened?? they bloody suck, hope you told them you will change insurance company next time

    2. They gave you alcohol test results, they they tell you what was the results of the police driver lol

    3. 1 year for payment WTF, do you even know how/where to give the invoice to ???
