We got a decent quote from an MSIG agent. Switched late last year.

Looks like no more free charging at Tesla destination chargers in HK!
Got a surprised $2.3/kw at what used to be free charge.
The chargers now also opened up to all car brands... hence the need to pay.

Where is this destination charger? You mean to say they've replaced them with Superchargers?

Had not seen them replace the existing destination chargers in Cyberport when I was last there (3rd week of Dec)

Ask your current insurer for a quote.

    I've got mine with Liberty.

Some insurers are not taking on new business.

You can also askTesla for a quote:

They are adding signs above destination chargers informing users of the charge rates going forward.

They may not have got around to updating them all as yet.

We’re about to take the plunge and buy our first EV. Decided on a Tesla as we already have a charger at home, and they appear good value currently.

Now the question is if we buy new or used? Looking at buying a Model 3. Certified secondhand look to be 150-180k for 19-21 model depending on mileage and colour. Brand new with discounts and no extra options about 230k. We are getting the RWD as this is adequate for our needs as we have a home charger. Will drive about 18k per year, airport and back in a day will be longest trip.

Would you buy new or used? Main considerations seem to be the remaining length of the warranties and rate of depreciation.

We also have a second car, an SUV that we currently mainly use for family trips and it has two car seats in it. We anticipate that once we have one electric we’re not going to want use this much when we’re altogether and we expect to end up replacing this too in the not too distant future. It’s currently probably worth more than the 100k trade in discount for buying new. Will probably want to replace it with a Y, but there are v few of these around secondhand.
