Power of Attorney to Allow Someone to Sell My Car

Hi, Our family car is under my name in Hong Kong. We want to sell it. As I will travel soon, what do I need to do to give my wife authority to sell my car and deal with the transit department on my behalf.

Power of attorney is costly and I would like to avoid it.

Copy of your HKID card is all you need to deal with the TD on transfer of vehicle license*.

Or you can pay a local agent to handle to TD stuff for you, also just need a copy of your HKID card.

*Have you signed the green original vehicle license?
