Sh** Sugar... My friend and I borrowed a mate's car (licensed & insured) to get out into the country, as usual... While doing one of those 3-point-turn thingies in a crowded parking space, we scraped the side of the front bumper along a low metal pole/partition - removing 2 inches of wax+paint
Instantly called the owner-friend, and whew! he says not to worry: his second-hand car's many years' old anyways... just buy din-din & drinks laters.
Still, feel guilty about it - though other past scrapes on the poor ol' car visible, too - so thinking that we could, at least, buy some paint to protect the damage from rust, etc.
I've asked around about a full wax & polish job at small garages - will cost HK$600+... First, guess should look into buying some (metallic silver) car paint or spray(?) from one of those wee auto-shops dotted around Mongkok.
Just wondering if anyone has other ideas? Could google for tips, but trying Geo first. Thanks.
