Thinking of buying a car... costs?

I have been looking at cars online and cars around 10 years old seem relatively cheap... is there any increased registration or warrant of fitness cost for older cars in HK?

What are the costs, annual Rego and Warrant and Insurance I am assuming? (any suggeations where can I find out how much these are likely to cost?)

    Thanks!

The biggest cost is often parking...

any car over 6 years must undergo an annual "road worthiness test"... usually costs about $2000 at a mechanic...sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the car.

parking is expensive, so is petrol.

    up-keep ain't cheap, either.

insurance depends on the car make & model & (possibly year).

registration depends on size of the motor.

As mentioned already - parking costs are potentially massive depending on where you live and/or work. And tunnel fees will add up if having to drive through one and back again every day...
