1 can tomatoes (more flavour then fresh ones)
    1 can tomato paste
    Oregano
    Salt
    little pepper
    little sugar
    Olive oil

Can add a little Thai basil too.

    Easy and works well.
A splash of balsamic vinegar is great in this kind of sauce.

Claire, it should come with a warning to wash pots, plates and anything else that comes into contact with it, immediately after use or else it sets like concrete!!! I actually had to chip it off one of my spatulas with a sharp knife one night!

It's pretty dire, that's for sure. Though very popular with bad chefs in the USA it seems - as per BBB

What about block mozzarella from PnS?? Combine that with any gruyere in small amounts or Parmesan for some bite, and you save loads. Better thanCity super.

I did just the same - against my better judgement. Double cheeseburger macaroni? Cheesy nacho pasta??

I just vommed a wee bit in my mouth.

Cooking wine - it tastes awful, isn't very well made and usually lower in alcohol
Cooking beer - it tastes awful, isn't very well made and usually lower in alcohol (Just ask for Carlsburg, San Mig, Blue Girl etc)

You are not alone. I did exactly the same thing. (Well, almost the same but probably worse. Decided to try this recipe and was forced to finished it in ONE day.)
