@Mat Dude it takes a lot to look this good!
Usually round up to the nearest $5 for Taxi's and that is it.
Taxi drivers get screwed over by the Government and they are usually good for a discussion about the state of Hong Kong. If they are particularly entertaining it may get rounded up a little more.
Service industries should pay proper wages and not rely on TIPs. Terrible concept.
I give mine double what he charges but since he only charges the equivalent of HKD 5 it is not generous
Last time I splashed out and had a haircut, shave and head massage. HKD 8 doubled to HKD 16.
Mind you he uses a bare razor blade and what looks suspiciously like sheep shearers. I win the prize for cheapness
No need to tip. If you are generous $10-20 is plenty.
25 minutes? That's too expensive. In that time I get mine and my 2 boys' hair done.Original Post Deleted
I don't normally go to a barber to get a haircut, I trim them myself using clipper at home. But, when I do decide to go to a barber I find a shop that trims it for me for $70-100 with $10-20 tip if the trim is to my liking, which usually it is.
