Mastercard can be linked to WeChat Wallet in China. You can see if you can use WeChat to pay for train tickets (Alipay is the standard one they use, not sure about WeChat).

Also, where are you going that the train ticket will cost thousands? Or do you mean multiple tickets?

Take an extensive medical check-up. And pay for any follow-up treatments within those two months.

HSBC Payme, if a topup is eligible towards your card's spending requirement.

Organise a group buffet dinner at a hotel and charge it to your card, collect everyone's contribution in cash.

I think they said earlier that AAVS is not an eligible spend.

I wouldn't mess about spending unnecessary money for the sake of $500 vouchers. I assume the card has paypass though so you can use it in convenience stores like 7-11 or at McDonald's etc similarly to an octopus.

If you need a taxi, get an uber. If you actually need to buy things like clothes, electronics or furniture, now's a good time.

Ruby Tuesday accepts credit card for dining...but it'll be a lot more than $80.
I have an autopayment set up for my phone bill that charges the amount to my credit card.
I bought my air ticket home one month and a new mac the next to scoop the bonus offered....
otherwise most of my c/card use is for small things.

Make one or more substantial donations to charities of your choice.

People (or the environment they live in) in need get assistance, and you get that little $500 bonus.
