Penny pinching only gets you so far. The best way to save money in HK is to get (at least 2) roommates and split rent. Other than rent my monthly spend can hardly go over HKD10k.

Live in the smallest, dingiest and most dilapidated apartment you can find.

Get three other people to move in.

Adopt a minimalist lifestyle and buy your clothes at Uniqlo.

Cook at home using ingredients solely sourced from China.

Take up religion as a hobby. Meet up with others for religious activities and maybe splurge on a coffee and cake.

    Think about life. Force happiness.

Buy up toilet paper at remote locations.

Go to supermarkets out of stock- sell to desperate customers for 20 dollars per individual roll.

Depends on whether it's individually packaged by the manufacturer...the crappy masks in TST are 300 for a box of 50 (dubious origin) and I saw 5 masks in a plastic bag for 50 dollars in Sham Shui Po...

As long as you have no morals whatsoever, the sky is the limit!
