    @OP I cool my room with AC beforehand, switch it off when I go to sleep and use a (dyson) fan instead. Otherwise you can consider using the fan mode on your AC.

    I have the AC on for a few hours and then turn it off before i go to sleep, i turn the fan on and its good enough to sleep through the night.

    maybe a good idea to set it on a timer bcos of costs & also continuously having it on does get freezing cold (for me anyways). I have even been woken up by the cold air blasting non stop. Also your core body temp drops during the night.
