    Huge Cracks in Hardwood Floors

I just had a company refinish the hardwood floor in our apartment and handed over the cheque 2 days ago. Today I found 2 huge cracks throughout the whole master bedroom and some other cracks at different locations. I didn't expect it to happen so fast and I am moving in in Dec 7

are the cracks between the floor board or within the floor board itself?

The cracks are between the boards, not on the boards themselves. I am not sure if the company is to blame, the temperature cooled down and it's dry this time of the year. Or is sealing the hardwood floors with polyurethane (or whatever they use over here) supposed to prevent cracks?

i beg to differ. these cracks are normal. wooden floor boards will expand when the humidity is high and shrink when the air is dry. better of with laminated wooden floor boards if you want to avoid cracks.

The floor is not new, it was just refinished by taking off the upper layer with some kind of floor grinder and then sealing it again.

Here is a video of one of the cracks:

Have cracks in my floor. Landlord sent a handyman with brownish-colored caulk to fill in the gaps. I think the huge humidity swings are pretty hard on the floors.
