    Furniture mall or furniture area?

I'm living in HK island and looking to buy some furniture. There's some furniture stores here and there but I was wondering if there is some kind of furniture mall or area that had many furniture stores together?

Also, it's a long shot but has anyone seen some kind of foot stool where the lid can be flipped to become a tray?

    Thanks!

    Horizon Plaza, Ap Lei Chau

    Home Square, Shatin

both spring to mind. I have seen what you are talking about, can't remember where but I thought it was pretty nifty.

City Garden Road / Wharf Road in North Point has a few interior design and furniture shops.

    and

are indeed places with loads of furniture but be prepared to show your $$.

Sometime you can get a bargain but on average it is expensive.

depends on your budget and style ... as mentioned Horizon centre at Ap lei chau has many in the one building at the mid to high end of the pricing arena but some good finds and prices can be found amongst the stores ( just go straight to the 26th floor , grab a coffee at Tree and work your way down - walking stairs is quicker than waiting for the lift ... otherwise stock standard defaults such as Ikea Home - IKEA with a few others here there and everywhere , Pricerite Pricerite實惠 – å®¶å±…è³‡è¨Šç«™åŠæ¾³é– €ç¶²ä¸Šå•†åº— , Seahorse WELCOME TO SEAHORSE , Justco AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited. , GOD (goods of desire) GOODS OF DESIRE , Sofa Sale Sofasale Hong Kong Online Furniture Retailer - Buy sofa, sofa bed, cheap sofa beds, sofa sets, leather sofas, chaise sofa, sofas for sale, fabric sofas, tables, office chairs, outdoor furniture, lamps, ceiling fans, bean bags, arts. , artura ficus (also at ap lei chau) ArturaFicus , Aluminium Aluminium - Urban Living , OVO OVO , Mark james Marc James Design , etc etc etc ... should be a start , you can also order on line from places like Manks
Scandinavian Modern Design, SOFA, - Manks Limited in Hong Kong , maybe some second hand stuff like 2nd Chance 2ND Chance Co Ltd etc etc ,
a few hours or days on google can save a bit of groundwork

    Angry Furniture in Hong Kong

I think the product quality and after sales service of chain stores are better, don't trust the ones even selling premium priced items.

I am suffering from an unpleasant experience in buying a Fritz Hansen Egg Chair from a Scandinavian Designed Furniture Store in Wong Chuk Hang, the chair was obvious defective with many scratches on the eye-catching area when delivered to my home. However the seller rejected to refund me the deposit, in other words forced me to make purchase in their store even it's their fault. I am still handling the case, in which I have lost many tangible and intangible costs.

Just want to share with guys who are going to purchase furnitures should beware of those unscrupulous furniture sellers.
