    SMEG appliances

Does anyone have any reviews for Smeg appliances, good or bad?
I am renovating my kitchen soon and need good quality and good-looking appliances.

    Thanks

I got a Smeg fridge freezer and the auto defrost has never worked properly. I have a friend in England who regretted buying hers because because it had so few features for the price.

Apart from that, they have the word Smeg written on them which aside from making them expensive and, allegedly, better looking, doesn't appear to give them any edge over cheaper models.

Here is what SMEG means these days in England:

    Urban Dictionary: smeg

Good looking and good quality - hard to argue with Miele, Gaggenau (sic?), Fisher & Paykel.

Smeg are horrendously expensive in UK so dread to think how much they'd be here....

Actually compared to the brands that I mentioned, Smeg is pretty cheap.

The name alone, as any Red Dwarf fan would know, is either a big selling point or very off-putting!

Amazing how something that is oblong with a smooth surface that pretty much looks and does exactly what cheaper competitors do, and often less, can attract a premium price because of branding......oh......
