LED Bulbs - Whats out there?

Have been looking at replacing our CFL / Incandescent light bulbs at home and am struggling to find a wider range of LED bulbs for normal socket ( 220V - E27/E14/E16 sockets ).

So far I've found Megaman and IKEA.

Someone I know claims IKEA bulbs have problems in legacy fixtures ("They work well only with their lamps" or something to that effect).

Walked around Home Square in Shatin and various electrical stores in Wanchai / Morrison Hill road and could not find anything familiar.

Am I missing something? Do GE / Philips and others have a LED range here in HK?

ikea is reasonably priced, not sure about legecy issues
    megaman is more expensive
philips is expensive and borderline ripoff, oled lighting is absurbly priced, but they have doing led for the last 5-7 years

    try this brand

i have led mr16 as alternatives to halogen spotlights and led multicolour ambient lighting behind wall covings

Yeah. They have a fair range of CFL bulbs.. not LED, which should theoretically save more and don't flicker / have slow on cycles.

I know the guy you need to talk to Siri, he is a british electrian who sources and specialises in these bulbs, however if I post his contact details here you will delete the post LOL so pm me if you want his details, we have spent over 50k on replacing all the bulbs in our warehouse over the past couple of years and some have been tottally crap but the latest ones are good (so far)...

Are LED bulbs good for office?
I'm refitting an office, and do not want those long tube bulbs that constantly are going out on us.

Yes you can buy direct swap tubes in LED to replace the current ones but be aware that given the long term money savings these are not cheap ...

Philips and others make these so you can order from most shops.

No, I will cancel tubes, and renovate office interior to accept standard round bulbs.
