Not sure if Life's A Breeze is still located in the same shop that we purchased our remote controlled Fanimation plantatation ceiling fan from, I'm still using it today as we removed it when we moved and it's still going strong 8 years later. Was definitely worth the $3500 we paid compared to the shiz SMC local dunga fans. Still runs whisper quietly minus any wobbling, plus ours looks awesome as a visual feature of our family room. Contact Jennifer at Life's A Breeze if my details below are still current, they were when we purchased in 2013! But anything could have happened since lol They might have a Facebook page so might be a good idea to check

Our fans are from TP.. I think all of them are SMC brand.

Have had them for about 8 years now.

A selection of fans suitable for outdoor (covered) use, thus also suitable for indoor - There's much more choice if you include indoor only.

Most decent fans have optional light kits, so you can have with or without.....

A couple I installed at neighbouring flats.

Haha, looks like you're were I was several years ago, trying to redecorate a home with tastes that don't fall within the HK normal range. So you don't want crazy, loopy LED feature lights in the ceiling, or gold cherub statues? Good luck with that

Lighting- I ended up ordering some lights from the UK via wayfair.co.uk and amazon.co.uk and had them shipped. Even if I could track down the same models locally (it was very, very hard), the prices were boosted so high that it still made sense to purchase overseas. For some of my lighting, I found a place in SSP computer centre on the second floor that just sells simple disk-shaped LED lights without any additional ornamentation. The brand is Iris Ohyama.

Ceiling fans- there is a smallish range of good, aerodynamically-designed fans. Haiku by the well named bigassfan company does expensive and stylish ones, but I liked Aeratron- very quiet, low power, electronically controlled brushless (so simple wiring). Not sure if you'd like the look of them, but personally I like them a lot more than the simple angular metal ones that seem so common. If you check price.com.hk you can find one or two local vendors for the latter. About 2K for an Aeratron, iirc. There are several other options, but my memory is that Haiku and Aeratron provide more air flow info than most, which led me to believe they were more carefully designed.

Edit: Haiku is the fan shown in Shri's image above. Definitely on the pricey side. Aeratron are the first two images in Sage's post.

It's all personal taste, of course, but these were the two brands that I ended up ordering. Astro is available locally, but with jacked up pricing.

For all I know, you might be able to find similar for way cheaper via Taobao. If you trust taobao products wired up to mains power

Are there any other options - online or locally to buy 42” or larger fans for less than $2500?
