If this is even slightly true, I hope the couple get the full force of the law thrown in their face:

Wasn't she working there for 2 years?
In any case there are a bunch of us who don't subscribe to the scmp, so can't read the article
5 days without water?
Hmmm
I read it this morning and pissed me off so much, I wish I had 10 mins with the husband and a baseball bat. What kind of sick fucks leaves a human being tied to a chair for 5 days so that they can go on holiday
The court heard on Friday that Kartika had been left tied to a chair in a diaper for five days while the family went on holiday.

I'm not convinced. I'm not saying none of it's true- but if you look at the case of the guy who was forgotten by the DEA for 5 days, he nearly went mad, drank his own urine to survive and had to be hospitalised for amongst other things kidney failure and dehydration- but seemingly this girl just went back to work. Didn't phone friends, family or police. Didn't say something to a passing DH when out with the mother and this carried on for 2 years?
