I wish the Stan Chart marathon t-shirts would spontaneously combust a few days after the event. It's a great achievement no doubt, but why are these t-shirts the official uniform of anyone in HK doing any kind of outdoor activity?

Given how few men seem to wash their hands after using the loo I think they should install a PA system in each toilet stall.

Who started the "stand on right, walk on left" mantra? When? Its fine, and it seems to work. Most people in HKG know this and do this.

    Great, but:
For the past few months, I hear a new refrain when travelling on the MTR. "Do not walk on escalators". When did this switch take place and why?
Perhaps the realized that it doesn't work (stand right, walk left), using both sides to stand can move significantly more people at the same time since only few people compared to those standing actually do walk.
