Veterans Day, Armistice Day and Remembrance Day November 11

Veterans Day, Armistice Day and Remembrance Day are celebrated in many parts of the world and marks the anniversary of the end of World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.)

This plane is from a "Spook Squadron". It has no marking or identification of any kind... painted flat black for night flying. We had one of these shot down, but it made it into West Germany before crashing. Officially, the door accidentally came open causing the tail to fall off........ yeah right!

I have the utmost respect for those that lay down their lives and did my remembrance yesterday. How ever I have zero respect to the politicians that send these young men and women to die especially over a lie.
Also I don't understand the clips of military hardware that is just a machine for death and misery. Wouldn't it be better to have something towards the veterans themselves and not killing machines?

We were just geek kids, but our old pilots were like parents to us, and they taught us to love flying and to love our aircraft. Even after a 24 hour Airborne Early Warning barrier, a willie victor always got us back to safety somewhere. We were defence only (NORAD). The planes you see in the pictures were restored by our former squadron members on thier own volunteer time. They are all in museums, and we have a reunion of all squadrons every few years.

Even with all that ugly electronics warfare gear on it, the Willie victor was the most beautiful propeller plane ever built. It was based on the Lockheed super constellation, but the engines were souped up to 3400 HP each. We never killed anyone except ourselves with it. We just put all the X's on the big glass map under the mountain in colorado. The only intercepts we did were lost private planes crossing the ocean into North America, and defectors who landed peacefully.

Johnson did away with us. We were too much like John F Kennedy. I learned to hate war and government from my pilots. Many of them were WWII veterans.

Also, there are no truthful videos or documents of what we did, which was ultra top secret. The modern advertising of the latest E2 is all we have to explain it.

Not all wars were fought over lies...some were fought out of necessity and some wars actually saved lives ( in the long run ). Those are the ones to remember on this day...
