First Tropical Cyclone Signal of the Season...

Well, this is interesting. SCMP was reporting that the strong likelihood of El Nino would delay the onset of the typhoon season. Apparently not, as we have T1 today (or not yet...as El Nino is still developing and not yet reaching full strength, the effects will be more pronounced later this year and next).

Tropical Storm Hagibis as this storm is called, was formed relatively close to us, from a monsoon trough to the southeast of HK over the South China Sea. Its about 300 km away and not likely to impact HK too much based on present track (so those looking for a T8 to watch World Cup, sorry to disappoint you guys).

Speaking of which, I do wonder if this T1 is a good or bad omen for the upcoming England vs Italy match?

We'll know whether that is true soon enough...

Apparently, it was not a good omen for England...:

But back to the weather, look like T1 will last for most of the day, although T3 does not look likely. So just a windy, rainy but otherwise unremarkable day...except for those who were planning to enjoy some sun at the beach.

Should I put myself on maximum lockdown for the next 3 months ?

Sorry WC I promise not to harp on for this year's typhoon (strong breeze) season

Only if you promise not to treat a T10 as a stroll in the park...

Hahaha, I have to admit, that is funny.
