Hmmm. I hope I'm wrong but I think I'm probably right. Beijing will want this stopped asap.
That tank photo is from 2012. Still, assault rifle wielding police make up for the lack of PLA presence http://hksan.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14078

Here's what I know.
- Some incredibly brave HKers have stepped up (we know from some friends at HKU that some mainland students have also joined)
- Cops have tear gassed the protestors ...
- Photos of the tanks are old (quick searches will show them being posted in Aug 28-29)
- MTR not stopping in Admiralty for now ..
- Govt has said there are no plans to ask the PLA for assistance.
I see many people adapting the yellow ribbon as their facebook profile photo suddenly. WTF is that going to do and WTF does it represent.
At 1st I thought it was something to do with cancer????
It represents the cause. What will it do? Nothing. What will getting pepper sprayed in the face do? Nothing. But people are trying to do whatever they can, however small and insignificant, to raise awareness and encourage those on the streets.
Can someone help me translate this?
