Taiwan has certainly normalised faster Hong Kong but Hong Kong is still better than most Asian countries but the current government has constitutional issues to push through LegCo which are obviously more important than making society better.
"Normalize" isn't the right word for SSM - only 19 countries have it. Not even 10pc of the world.

yeah, because China Africa and Muslim countries are still stuck in the stone ages

if if you look at this map, a good portion of the western world has evolved & no longer discriminates. Surprised that Australia hasn't evolved yet, but I suspect that will come soon enough.

25% of posters are pretty silent in expressing their views about the sanctity of marriage.

Would divorce violate the sanctity of marriage? If so then why do we allow it? Same argument.

Just had dinner with a couple who are planning to register in the UK. One European and one Asian. Neither will live in HK in the long term. Eventual location of living together still a mystery, has been for a couple for a couple of years. As for me, I last saw him 2 weeks ago, and 8 more weeks of daily skyping till we see each other again. F**K, we gotta be creative to work our lives out in this world.

You use McDonalds to support your point? Couldn't you have said now we can find Heineken in almost every country? Ok it isn't that much better.

Is Heineken supposed to be better or worse than McDonalds?
