Holy crap ... thank god our glorious leader was not anywhere near it!

The collapse, covering an area of 900 sq m, happened around 2.30 pm. A security guard from the university filed a report of an explosion in the Hu Fa Kuang Sports Centre on the Tat Chee Avenue campus, in Kowloon Tong, around then.

Should be some civil engineer who signed off on it high-tailing it toward Shenzhen, Macau, or HKIA just about right now.

that photo shows no garden, they must have added the garden (soil, etc) on the roof later.....

The greenery was added in November? Wonder if the loading caused the problem.

'Green' additions to roof may have led to collapse - RTHK

betting roof was overloaded by the extra load caused by that "garden"
