Rule of law world ranking - HK#16, China #80 ???

Doing some background reading and came across the following. Is rule of law in China really that bad????

    https://worldjusticeproject.org/site...-Digital_0.pdf

Didn't know Cambodia was that bad - second-last above Venezuela.

Few more years of Trump and God knows where USA will be ranked...

    Singapore looking good at #9

In China one is guilty until proved innocent. Suspects are at a huge disadvantage from the beginning.

In China, even if one is innocent, one will be found guilty if the other side has enough power / is the CCP / is the government.

Same goes for Japan, apparently. Asian countries are backwards this way.
