    Predicting T8 at 9am

    Very irritating.
Can anyone in the Shatin area tell me what the weather is actually like over there? Was planning a hike today and would prefer not to cancel for this silly Typhoon which is miles away.

There will be gale force winds from the east later. The only thing silly would be going on a hike and either being killed or wasting the resources of the emergency services.

Has it intensified? Direct hit here and only the equivalent of a T3.

Calm as a pond in island east. Most public transport seems to be functioning normally.

I sympathize with the person who is considering hiking as it's difficult to figure out whether there's a wolf or not when the boy cries wolf at the sight of a chihuahua and says nothing when a T Rex shows up! (like some of those horrible floods a couple months back)

Lantau is being hit hard. Wouldn't recommend hiking here.

Does anyone know when they're planning on lowering the signal?
