It showed the firm offered US$2 million in donations to Chadian President Idriss Déby to help the needy as a symbol of its “sincere commitment” to the country.
While the company’s chairman, Ye Jianming, was not named in the documents, the exhibits included a report from Ho to a “chairman Ye” relating to Ho’s meeting with Déby.

I heard that some think the pro-establishment, government or CCP circles will stage a "welcome back celebration" for him. I doubt that very much, however. His utility for the CCP was over the moment he was jailed. He is now damaged goods. Why expend political capital on someone who is no longer of use? You are disposed of the moment the CCP thinks your utility is over. That is their way. So nope, no celebration.
