As there is no ability to change the executive and legislative arms of government and the government having a very narrow mandate using and seeing the results from the very limited tools the government offers could of been the reason why so many feel dis-enfranchised.

Obviously a public inquiry would put these concerns to bed one way or the other. A cynic would guess that the inquiry never happened as the result would be known.

Anyway must drop 1823 a note about the shambolic land task force that didn't look at any of the systemic issues and ignored large swathes of available land. I'm sure 1823 will make the government accountable and better.
Ah, I see. A large list of complaints that the government is already fully aware of.

And apparently a public inquiry into the Mongkok riots will fix that. Lol.

Thanks for the chuckle before bedtime.

Are you suggesting the government are aware that sections of society are so disenfranchised that it drives them to riot but that is OK?

    All very confusing

The problem is Hong Kong Laws are laxed. Still going by the stupid british system. They need to develope their own laws and axe the british completely out of Hong Kong Government along with those stupid wigs.

this is really quite absurd. How much more evidence do they need? Shocking abuse of power.

If a subject is too tricky it wont get an answer. If a subject is not really about the abuse of power or appalling governance there will be lots of discussion usually with lashings of whataboutism etc.

This looks too tricky to be defended by the staunchest pro-authoritarian.
