Just repeating that we must trust the police does not mean we must trust the police. Surely you agree.
In this case with clear video footage and a very limited number of suspects these look like excuses. Or do you really believe our police are so incompetent that they can't identify people in a video from a very small circle of officers on duty that night.

Fasincating article, thanks for posting. Clearly a lot of this goes on in Hong Kong and China too - SCMP comments section a very obvious example.. and we've had our share of wumao's on Geoexpat in the past.
