After the typhoon the air has become much better in HK. The fogginess is gone. HK needs a good typhoon at least once a year to blow away all the pollution between the tall buildings that the regular wind can't get to.

Couldn't believe the amount of styrofoam and rubbish that was washed up by the typhoon.
Sadly, many locals I know wouldn't notice a difference in air quality and look at me like I have two heads if I make any comment about the air.
Same! I's a real rubbish dump now outside my apartment block. It's been like this after a typhoon 2 years ago too. However, it's worse now. Every time, there's more rubbish getting washed out by the typhoon. Apparently China has illegal rubbish dumps that are responsible for this.
It helps that there were hardly any buses on yesterday and a reduced fleet today. Enjoy the slightly less toxic air, it won't last long
