    Ok, you were saying:

Unless Beijing decides to use tanks and live ammunition this will not happen for Hong Kong.
I think Beijing will not do anything drastic. Beijing is deploying salami tactics in Hong Kong.

Beijing will erode Hong Kong's rights and freedoms bit by bit.

China will still survive because it has a population of 1.4 billion. China survived despite being poor for a long time and Japanese aggression. This US China Trade War will be forever as long as China unwilling to give in to US demands. China is not a country that is willing to 100% surrender to another country. And Spain is in the EU, it extradited hundreds of suspects to Beijing recently. No more EU solidarity. Not about right or wrong, every EU country is different. Canada did not prevent Lai Changxing being extradited back to China.

Depends how you define death but if in the obvious sense of ceasing to exist then no it doesn't.

This is the lady people will have to trust with their lives. She has a strange relationship with the truth. Perhaps she does believe what she is saying is true and most of the rest of the world are wrong.

From todays FT - if the US congress revokes the '1992 HK policy act' this would hurt HK - and indirectly the many mainland shell companies registered in HK.

The US has expressed “grave concern” over a controversial Hong Kong extradition bill that would allow individuals to be sent to China to stand trial, saying the proposal puts the territory’s special status at risk.
Morgan Ortagus, state department spokeswoman, said the US was concerned “the lack of procedural protections . . . could undermine Hong Kong’s autonomy and negatively impact the territory’s longstanding protections of human rights, fundamental freedoms and democratic values”.
“The chances of US Congress abrogating on the 1992 Hong Kong Policy Act have risen significantly after 1m people turned out and also Carrie Lam’s intransigence in the face of such an outpouring of popular opinion,” said Mr Lam.
