    It is bloody obvious, but we need someone to come out and say it. Otherwise they will just say it has never been proved/never been admitted/not true etc. whenever there is an argument about it.

    Oh plenty of people say it. But doesn't really matter since it's a fact and it's not likely to change unless there was another opium war and UK would most definitely lose this time. This is a crucial time in HK history, and it's the youngsters pushing the change. There's hope for Hong Kong. Do we really want the land developers getting rich off of the HK people's backs? Everyone is working hard to feed their landlords. Even the renters. Hong Kong's ludicrously high property prices and low wages need to change for the better.
