    Sept '19 - Week 2 - Protest News & Discussions

    Starting a new thread.

    Scheduled Protests: https://geoexpat.com/forum/342/thread354082.html

Today starts off with the Airport Transportation Stress Test:

Airport Express becomes more 'express' with fewer stops:

    https://twitter.com/mtrupdate/status...97817366347776

and MTR shuttle buses seem to be suspended

To facilitate Special Measures for Transport Services Connecting the Airport, all “E” routes buses heading to the airport or AsiaWorld-Expo departing from bus terminuses in the city after 1030hrs will terminate at Tung Chung. City-bound “E” routes bus service starting from the airport or AsiaWorld-Expo will remain normal routings. Passengers travelling to the airport by bus are advised to take the “A” routes and stay tuned to traffic information.

Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time to travel to the airport.

What the police did to people in Prince Edward station was sadly "predictably inexcusable", but the extent of the obvious coverup of something makes the entire 831 operation look absolutely nefarious.

Normally journalists would have some leads or leaks by now but there's been nothing.

Likewise normally the regime/police would quickly have come up with an "alternative narrative" but even they're staying silent.

A few days ago, the cleaner's unions and representatives were complaining that cleaning streets which had been tear gassed / pepper sprayed was not good for the overall health of the minimum wage cleaners who had no protection.

The community service division of the HKPF has heard their call and sent in an elite clean up squad.

These bodies are just the beginning. Rumors say that there were girls who committed suicide due to sexual assault by police. Apparently, there is no coverage on the media about it..

2 water cannons at the airport.
Police stationed at the ferry piers in Central and Mui Wo.

E bus routes going to the airport terminate at Tung Chung.

I think this has the same effect as an airport gridlocked probably better from a protesters point of view. Travelers are going to be talking about the huge riot police presence at all points of departure to the airport.

Yes journalist's would have some tips by now if it were deaths. IMO the police don't want the WHOLE brutality of the assault made public as that would surely draw the masses. What little we have seen before the press were removed is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
