Does anybody know of a phonetic translation of this so non-Canto speakers can (sort of) learn the words?

Those lyrics look as if a machine learning tool was exposed to all the world's national anthems and tasked to create a new set of lyrics.

Orchestral version posted today. The government can only dream of advertisments with such a production value.

Just saw the orchestral version and the Shatin crowd performance (from Kong Tsung-gan's link above) and admit getting the chills - the good type - from both the anthem and the momentum behind it.

I first heard the introductory studio version and while I thought it to be fine it felt a little gloomy. With the crowds it truly comes alive (vigoroso/con vivezza) with sneaky bits of cantopop feel and Catalonian style fervour in just the right places.

    Awe-inspiring stuff.

The silent majority stages their own patriotic sing along in Olympian.

And a better video of the minority radicals disturbing the peace and quiet in Shatin.
