Absolutely appalling how none of the English channels are airing the presser... it's not like they need to do much, a live ISD translation is available...

You can watch CGTN, although it’s slightly distasteful.

    Seen on the Cantonese interwebs...
Chugani resigning from not only his TVB interview show but also his SCMP and HKEJ column.

It was only a matter of time for that to happen given how things are going in this city. I remember I once said the SCMP still maintained a thin shred of credibility for allowing token opposition voices in the paper every now and then. But now even that option is disappearing. The morphing of the SCMP to a full-blown propaganda-style China Daily is almost complete.

TV as a medium is dying, especially in Hong Kong. Most locals with a smart TV will use YouTube to fill their "dinner news" slot.

Many popular Hong Kong YouTube channels easily have a quarter million subscribers and channel views of 50m+. Apple Daily has taken another step by creating regular programming at 9:30pm.

The good news is that by the time the Government has decided to really take over and "propaganda-ize" mainstream TV, mainstream TV itself is dying.

    How come Tony Sabine quit?

Also interested to see Chugani described as an opposition voice, he was an establishment shoeshiner but it seems as though everything changed for him once the police decided to water cannon the Kowloon Mosque.
