Because the Muslim community, like all religious congregations, has 10 of the 1200 votes for the CE election.

I've seen pictures of Wong Tai Sin Temple covered in gas, churches in Wan Chai covered in gas and elderly people and residents alike getting gased in their apartments, but there are no cops in sight with buckets and cleaning utilities.

There was a little bit of blue water on the front steps of the mosque, and the district commander is there cleaning it up, is the mosque staunchly pro-gov, or why the special treatment?
Because this man knows Carrie personally?

Carrie Lam goes to the mosque.

This is getting way too weird. It is not important to look in on injured protestors & bystanders - old and young, but it is important to inspect MTR gates and visit the Imam at the Kowloon mosque. Just too weird.

How is that weird? Might need the gangs again at some point in the future.

Also, Mohan Chugani has spoken in support of the government/police at a pro-police rally.

Great reminder why they want dual universal suffrage. So ONLY voters matter.

I'm not getting the point, why a Sikh cannot enter a Mosque ? Riots in Indian sub-continent aren't caused by Sikhs or Hindus entering Mosques

The lack of legitimacy of the HK government, well summarized and analyzed here:
