On a more "patriotic" note, here's what the co-founder of so-called "DAB", Tsang Yok-sing, wrote about actual (pro-CCP) bombings of 1967.

For better or worse, he's always struck me as a reasonably smart operator. Is he refusing to speak to (non-Party) media? I'm sure a lot of people would like to hear what he thinks about the regime's actions vis-à-vis Hongkonger rights activists...

Well the students were very dumb to have that motion in the first place in this political climate. Really not the smartest thing to do in this "new" HK. Then again, getting arrested for what is essentially "speech crimes" and likely facing years in prison seems way too excessive.

I know, this is done to deter any likely future similar calls by anyone else in HK. But a basic principle of justice is that the punishment must fit the crime. It should not be too harsh or too lenient. It has to be appropriate. And facing who knows how many years in the jail for speech crimes is just way out of proportions.

But then this is the new Hong Kong, is it not?

These RTHK-associated people need to be careful if they don’t want to become the next Kovrig and Spavor. Even being green isn’t going to keep you from well-incentivised paranoia (it’s like Salem with promotions).

Some RTHK stories are still funny as they report just the facts.
