    This is getting from absurd and ridiculous to becoming kafkaesque. What's next? Everyone has to register their location to the authorities everytime they leave home for work or leisure? Maybe not so far-fetched now given the increasing Orwellian bent of the authorities.

    Revealing your location is optional...but with certain mainland apps, they install a backdoor that reveals your location whether you like it or not.
