I along with some fellow motorists cleared the roads by Baptist U. No issues from the protesters. Also saw a motorcyclist a few weeks ago clear debris off roads with 40-50 protesters watching him from afar as they moved on to another road - No issues.

The were being like water and if you wait a little while they move on and the road can be cleared with no fuss.

I think what is meant by “fake” is that rather than being a spontaneous group of motorists clearing the road, is that it was a group of people goaded and organised (at an appointed time) to go into confrontation with protesters that were actively manning barricades. Obviously the protesters correctly diagnosed that these people were being used to remove the need for a political solution and star in pro-establishment propaganda, and one or two in the protester ranks appear to have inappropriately responded with the above-mentioned flaming objects that landed near to, but not on, the well-meaning cannon fodder for the cynical pro-establishment people (you should ask yourself why the audio is garbled, and one of those on the ground is gesticulating invitingly with his arms as if to ask for objects to be thrown).

I object to the dangerous intimidation, but I recognise the context, and think that may be the point that others here are trying to make. The main concern could be that people trying to fairly report events might inadvertently misconstrue the situation to other readers just casually browsing through.

My take is it’s an issue of perception and overblown misunderstanding. Words are important, but trying to understand each other in good faith even more so. Polarisation doesn’t bring us any closer to a favourable resolution.

Some disturbing allegations. I worry about their mental state, and also the significance of it if it’s based on reality.

PoPo are the gatekeeper's to poly and unfortunately answer to nobody so it's easy to see how these things get started.

Do cops need a warrant to enter the universities? I was under the impression they already had entered both CUHK and PolyU, but later on retreated.

So, which one is it, do they need the warrant or not? Any lawyer who can clarify?
I dug a little and found this....

    They've taken over the campus.

No clue about where the protestors are did see someone mention something about a press conference last night (about 10-20 still holded up somewhere on campus?)

I would assume that undercover police have already been on campus - there have been so many academics, other polyu staff and media on campus in the last few days it would not be difficult for them to blend in.
