Regardless of which side of the fence you're on, HK's 2019 District Council Election is important.
Many say "my vote doesn't matter". It does. Specially if you're a first time voter who has registered recently.
Here's how I'd research a candidate after figuring out which district I'd be voting in.
District Council Election Website - Candidate Info: You can use this to drill down to your district and figure out who the candidates are. The "graphic" section reveals a little bit more about the candidate than the text section.

If you want to do some additional verification on their platform and records go to this website, preferably with an updated version of Google Chrome which will translate the website for you (give it a minute or two to translate the menu.

Find your district and scroll to your candidates:
You can click on the candidate's card to find out a little bit more about them.
Finally... head out early on the 24th and VOTE! It matters.
You do not have to reveal who you voted for at the exit polls.
I have not seen any voting strategy materials (in English please!) from the pro-establishment site, but this info from the other side, should give you some idea about what might be at play and how to ensure your vote counts.
It is way over the top and perhaps a bit too dramatic for many, but has some valid points.
