If that’s verifiably true, I’m going to get a bit more worried. So far the fatalities appear to be elderly rather than those with stronger immune systems (the young, in the case of SARS), and no contagion to medical personnel. Definitely bears watching.

"It's so strange," wrote another, citing the overseas cases in Japan and Thailand. "They all have Wuhan pneumonia cases but we don't apart from Wuhan – is that scientific?"
Meanwhile people on the Mainland seem to have come to the same conclusion after hearing of the overseas cases.

Thailand reports a 2nd case of someone from Wuhan with the new type coronavirus.

I don't know, seems like there is an increasing possibility that this new type virus is spreading further than the authorities let on. There is an increasing possibility that the virus is spreading beyond the market and infecting people-to-people broadly. I really hope that is not the case, but with the mainland authorities being not very forthcoming with further information, that looms as a dreaded possibility. Have they learnt nothing from SARS?

    Alarmingly contagious levels of snark.

This will not help the situation. Mainland needs to wake up now and start taknig more proactive action.

If they are not reporting numbers infected what makes you think they will report fatalities...?

We have to consider the fact that it’s much harder to cover up fatalities than simple infections... though like you I doubt that there have only been 2 fatalities so far... (given that the numbers only include Wuhan)...
