    I thought it was a HORRIBLE photo ... all the attention is on Tung Chee-hwa and it raises too many questions - what was he doing, what is he about to do and why is he looking at that guy's bum!?

    I think this is why the photo is so brilliant. An excellent picture of clueless leadership and shoe-shining...

    Seems clear to me he was probably in the middle of sitting down after shaking his head.

    What the photographer captured was the current CE bowing to the Liaison Office Head, and the old CE appearing to (still) be fawning over him.

    He said some 7,000 people had contributed to his crowdfunding campaign to bring the legal challenge and if it succeeds, he will file for an injunction aimed at stopping the police from using tear gas.

    Bit early to speculate, but I assume if they try to nail him to the wall for this, it’s possible he might have firsthand testimony about misbehaviour if they are the first to ignore professional courtesy?
