For months protesters have been threatening to burn down the Nam Pin Wai village or its ancestral shrine, to avenge the 721 attack. It’s pretty much to the same effect if the Buildings Dep enforces the removal.
In other words, if the government and police only diligently enforced the law, there would be no need for the admittedly illegal behaviour threatened by the protesters.

Interesting how that seems to have been a recurring theme through the protests.

In case anybody comes across the distasteful champagne thing without the previous context.

Puzzling, as not a good advertisement for being against concealing your identity or against violence.

Not sure if it’s because I might be biased, but the video of the CWB protest looks to me like a China counter-protester physically pulling what I assume is protester on top of herself after throwing a fist at them.
(Wumao recently seem to have been reduced to replaying events in September to November, with no recent incidents to stroke anti-protester outrage...still waiting for them to show the early days where their ranks were attacking people not even fighting back.)

Masked man asks masked man why he is masked

I guess he couldn't wait to collect his 50 cents until after the outbreak ended.

(This is more related to the Clam gang's anti-democracy macchiavellinations than its ill-managed handling of the Wuhan epidemic so here goes)

    Very interesting.

@appledaily_hk says its seen a report #CarrieLam sent to Beijing earlier this month that blames #HKProtests for hampering govt response to #Coronavirus, accuses medics strike of being politically motivated & throws pro-establishment politicos under bus
    (source)

Neither the hapless Clam circle nor the shrieky United Front political stooges are getting the CCP the results Uber-Jinping-for-life demands (i.e HK people admitting defeat and submitting to imperial control) and now the sycophants are throwing each other under the bus.

The United Front in general is crucial to CCP's operations outside its direct rule while an unpopular technocrat puppet is easy for them to replace, so if I had to guess this could be Clam's ticket back to obscurity.
