The first phase of the treatment was carried out on three critically ill patients in Wuhan on February 8 and the plasma is currently being used to treat more than 10 critically ill patients.

Clinical tests showed that, after 12 to 24 hours of treatment, the main inflammatory indicators in the laboratory decreased significantly, the proportion of lymphocytes increased, key indicators such as blood oxygen saturation and viral load improved, and clinical signs and symptoms improved significantly.
Good news for treatment options at last? Can this be scaled up I wonder.

It's the bad journeys that stick in the mind rather than the uneventful ones... are we really saying the majority of cabbies you encounter are so bad they deserve to have their income cut to 200hkd/day? I honestly have no idea how any of them make a living for the very low fares they charge even at the best of times and they're always appreciative of even a small rounding-up tip. Other cities' taxi drivers are moody enough too despite charging 10x the fare...

It's not a question of whether they deserve their salaries to be cut. It's whether we should feel sympathetic to the taxi industry for their current outbreak plight. Too many of them do not hesitate to take advantage of us when they can get away with it.

And have you ever wondered why the average taxi driver earn such a pitiful wage? I can give you a hint, it's related to the monopoly that taxi license holders have right now.

I guess they've cleaned it since the HIV and mixed plasma scandals of the past, but China is still one of the last countries I'd want a blood transfusion in.

Not sure if that suffices, or if you were looking for individual province-level data.

You have a point, but one would hope for their sake it’s better nowadays.

Wow. Game changer if it turns out to be effective and easy to mass-produce/distribute.
