A bunch of points that sound logical to me: trust Singapore and Japan numbers (I would exclude HK); for every case reported there are cases that aren't detected due to various reasons; too early to predict how the situation is going to evolve, but there are many critically alarming signs all over. https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/publichealth/84861

One can still say the same thing about Hebei. There have only been 3 deaths there so far.

Do you think people should forgo medical treatment so you can sleep better? None of them has been confirmed with the virus. Thinking that your protection from an overhyped flu is more important than their quite real medical conditions takes a lot of arrogance.

I'm still more pissed that public hospitals have access to your immigration records than that they've broken their quarantine. What's next, everyone who has travelled to the US is a CIA agent and won't receive treatment for protest related injuries anymore?

I would have thought a logical approach to self-quarantine if it is to have any meaning would be that those in quarantine could seek medical help by phone. FFS I live in a third world country and they have worked that one out.

But then you support open borders so probably no quarantine as well.

Has anyone noticed that all of Carrie Lam's and the government discussion about face masks and supplies are about "government" supply? As in the government and its workers' own supply.

Only recently has the government thought about throwing a few bones to NGO's for the elderly and sick. Or to the medical profession.

Prove they were forced to go to China and your argument holds. Without that, they have no right to break quarantine.
You can't have it both ways.
