Unless and until the Jr Police Officers Association, DAB, village elders, listed company directors and the rest of the silent majority openly write cheques to community organisations, I'm spending my cash on the kid's expenses as he is off to uni.

Sue me for not being woke enough at this point.

Monthly investment. Either that or buy something utterly useless on impulse and regret later on. Both are an attractive option.

This poll is missing the most obvious answer which is "nothing special, just stick it in the account and spend like any other money". Or as I put it in my answer "general revenue".

Both my wife and I will pass it on to our Helper, she deserves it much more than we do

Well I don't live in HK anymore but my wife and I will still get $20k. Probably I don't deserve it, but I do have an empty flat in Olympic costing me a shit load evey month and I still maintain strong ties to HK. Luckily I've just rented it out now (tenant moves in next week) so I can relax a little now, but they are asking to put some glass shower screens in the bathroom, flyscreen on the balcony door etc, which are going to cost me about $20k anyway. So there you go, the $10k handout doesnt go very far

If you had a tax cut of a similar amount, would you be refusing to take the difference or making public statements your going to give your saving to charity?

Guys don't forget if your taxable income is over $200k, open a TVC account before March 31st and get an another $10k handout from the government this year.
