Will there be a UK style lock-down in Hong Kong?

I'm betting 'yes'. I predict it will commence on Monday.

I reckon it will last until summer

    Have a nice weekend.

    P.S. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I think it's hypocritical and unfair not to have a lock down when on one hand, you allow quarantine breakers to walk around, people eating out in restaurants, going to bars and wedding and on the other you restrict leisure activities randomly. However experience has shown that the government constantly refuses to make hard decisions and only act when they feel it's absolutely necessary and even then, it's usually halfheartedly and poorly thought out. I have zero faith in them doing anything right.

Why UK style specifically? What about Whuhan style, Italian style, Japanese style, California style, New York style, India style, French style, German style, Manila style or anywhere else in the world that has imposed lockdowns to varying degrees?

I had to pick a benchmark or I'd still be making the poll...

I think it will depend on the case numbers- if they start spiking upwards again, then yes, but even then probably in stages (first, close restaurants and ask people to work at home, next, close non-essential retail, etc.).

Here on Peng Chau with about 3 police, people will just do as they please, with the exception of going to restaurants, if those get closed.
